What is IFSC Code?
The IFSC code also know as Indian Financial System Code is an unique code
that identifies a single bank branch that participates in the NEFT system developed by RBI.
This code has a total of 11-character code. The first 4 characters represent the bank,
and the last 6 characters represent the branch.
What is MICR Code?
The MICR code also know as Magnetic Ink Character Recognition is a technology to recognize characters
used primarily by the financial institutions to facilitate the processing of cheque. This includes the
routing number and account number in the cheque at the bottom. The technology allows systems to automatically
read the MICR codes.
